Ethan was the first puppy in the birth canal and the vet had ever carefully delivered him early, but he would still have some minor brain loss. Early on he developed very well as all the other puppies, but than three weeks ago an arched lump developed on his head. From field reports from other breeders it was clear that there is a hydrocephalus. We observed Ethan up to the end of fifth week and saw no difference compared to the other puppies, except that the cross eyes were a little stronger. As of Monday, his disorientation surfaced more often and we knew his vision would never up to normal standards. So with heavy hearts we had to let him go on Sunday to ease his pain and sufferring which would only grow.
